Welcome to the Powerpoint Group

Powerpoint has been providing high quality domestic electrical and commercial electrical services from our premises on the Ferndown Industrial Estate in Wimborne since 1991. We have a strong track record based on our reputation for providing rapid, efficient and cost effective solutions.

The business has gained customer confidence and loyalty through the ethos of its Managing Director, Gary Millard who maintains that “I treat people the way I would like to be treated myself ”.

Gary has established a loyal workforce, many of whom have been with the company for more than 10 years. Gary believes “If you provide people with the right tools and training to do a job, along with adequate reward, then you have a happy, productive and conscientious workforce. I have a great team!”

The business has recently expanded it operations to cover a full range of domestic services under the banner of Powerpoint Restyle. We offer full project management for bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms encompassing gas, electric, carpentry and plumbing.

At Powerpoint, we understand the value of a highly skilled workforce and remain one of the few companies in our area that still offer trade apprenticeships. Our apprentices complete a four year practical and theory programme while working alongside our qualified engineers and studying with JTL Training.

JTL Apprentice of the Year Winner is Rob Best!

Rob was nominated by Paul Grist, Southern Team Training Officer at JTL Training. Paul says: "I chose Robert above my 13 other apprentices qualifying in 2016 because throughout his 4 year apprenticeship Rob's site supervisors' comments were always positive about his attitude, reliability, standard of work and initiative. Robert was able to learn quickly and work to a high standard from the 2nd year of his apprenticeship. When Robert commenced his NVQ portfolio in his 3rd year I did not have to drive to get it completed; Robert was always ahead and keen to complete."

"Robert achieved his Technical Certificate at college with no failures and achieved his AM2. Robert has always had a plan for his future after completing his apprenticeship to achieve his Inspection and Testing, which he has already commenced."
