University of Portsmouth: Pharmacy Teaching Bays

Client Brief

Electrical design of a university Pharmacy Training Rooms which consisted of mock up of a large ward to train university students.

Challenges

Challenges for the project were mainly access due to being a busy occupied building and working around staff and students in adjacent areas of the building. Carried out with a number of other university projects during a 6 month period.

Outcome

Works consisted of new dimmable lighting, AV installation which consisted of training screens, fire, access control, intruder alarm connected to the site wide systems, general small power via dado trunking. Floor layed induction loop system. Data installation and replacement of data cabinet connected to existing network.

This project was subject to some very tight deadlines with a quick turn-around and was successfully completed ahead of time. An impressive facility meeting the needs of the client.
